We conducted a gender and inclusion analysis of the MENTARI program’s innovative renewable energy pilots. The assessment reviewed design frameworks, community participation, and institutional practices to identify barriers and opportunities for inclusive engagement. By generating evidence-based recommendations, the study strengthens partner capacity to integrate gender equity and social safeguards into clean energy planning. The findings provide a roadmap for ensuring that Indonesia’s energy transition benefits all communities, especially women and marginalized groups.
